Before you go any further, you should know that invisible, clear braces are not for everyone. They are only for adults with specific tooth movements. Certain alignments will have to be handled with more traditional braces.

Choices

This is the brand of clear braces most will be familiar with. They are designed and fitted to adjust your teeth while showing the most minimal amount with their clear design.

Ceramic Braces

These are more like the traditional braces but with clear ceramic material contacting the teeth, reducing the amount of visible metal on the teeth.

Cost

Maintenance

As with your teeth, the clear braces will need to be cleaned and periodically adjusted. Your dentist will give you a schedule for maintenance. Below is a good video on cleaning the clear braces.

Clear braces such as Invisalign are a great alternative to traditional braces when minor correction is needed. However, it is important to note that the patient must be willing/able to wear them the majority of the time (20-22 hours per day).
